We are thrilled to share that Bunscoil na Toirbhirte has been awarded the Research Ireland Curious Minds Gold Award in recognition of our school’s outstanding work in STEM education! This marks an incredible milestone following our Silver Award last year, and we couldn’t be prouder of our whole school community.
This prestigious award celebrates excellence in:
Science
Technology
Engineering
Maths
STEM Showcase
A special congratulations to Ms. O’ Gorman, who led the submission process and curated a comprehensive Log of Evidence that truly captured the enthusiasm and creativity of our learners.
The Curious Minds Team commended the following areas in particular:
• Enthusiastic engagement with coding and robotics
• Opportunities for pupils to meet women in STEM professions
• Varied, hands-on learning from eco-house building to smoothie making, zoo trips, baking, and much more
• 6th Class’s participation in the Analog Devices Robotics Challenge
