Bunscoil na Toirbhirte, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork
Mrs Claus and her elves were very impressed with our Bunscoil Bites Healthy Cookery Book. Even the Grinch, known for is questionable dietary choices couldn’t wait to get his furry paws on it!!
Bunscoil Bites makes its debut at Christmas Markets
We had a wonderful time at Mitchelstown Christmas Market in the beautiful Saint George's Arts and Heritage Centre on Sunday, 24th November. What a truly special event in an equally special venue! Huge congratulations to everyone involved in organising this wonderful occasion, and a big shout out to all the incredibly supportive stalls that made the day so vibrant and festive.
Our stall was in great hands, thanks to the dedication of our amazing 6th class girls and the ever supportive, always dependable Parents Council. The positive feedback we received about our 'Bunscoil Bites & A Taste Of Local Cuisine’, our wonderful new healthy cookery book which is packed with over 50 delicious recipes, each brimming with fresh, wholesome ingredients. It also features photos of Bunscoil’s junior chefs, joyfully baking and creating in their Bunscoil Bites kitchen. It is a celebration of community, fun, and delicious food.
A special thanks must go to parent Jacinta O’Mahony Wren, whose tremendous effort and dedication were instrumental in making the today and our Cookery Book such a success. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she’s done to bring this project to life.
Our 6th class girls continue to earn well deserved praise from everyone they interact with. Well done, girls, you’ve made us so proud!
We’d also like to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of Andrew Dineen, the Parents Council, the very generous sponsors of our book and our staff. Their support and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we’re truly thankful to them all.
For those who couldn’t make it to the market, don’t worry— 'Bunscoil Bites' is now on sale in Bunscoil for only €10! This is a very professional production and would make a lovely Christmas Present. Families can purchase more than one book if they wish to do so. It can be purchased via Aladdin or through the office.
Finally, a heartfelt thanks to everyone who visited our stall today. Your support means the world to us!
