Christmas in Bunscoil 2025
An enjoyable visit to Tearmann Ui Chaoimh
We were delighted to be invited to visit Tearmann Ui Chaoimh by Gearldine O’Grady. Our girls and staff enjoying singing, dancing, partying and chatting with everyone there. It was a beautiful occasion and great fun.
And Corpus Christi Nursing Home ....
Members of our choir visited Corpus Christi Nursing Home recently. They sang Christmas Carols for the residents. It was a most enjoyable occasion. Well done girls, you were fantastic.
In a Christmas collaboration with Mitchelstown Library, 3rd & 4th Class made Christmas cards for the residents of Corpus Christi Nursing Home. A big thank you to librarians Susan & Eileen who collected the cards and delivered them to the nursing home in time to spread some Christmas cheer!
Beautiful Christmas patchwork cushions were made by some 5th class pupils this year. The girls designed the cushions, selected their fabrics, learned how to mark the fabrics and how to stitch the pieces (patches) together using the sewing machine. And they ironed as they went along - some using an iron for the first time! They are rightly, very proud of their creations. Well done to the girls and Ms Watson for passing on her knowledge and skills
He has finally arrived .....
There was tremendous excitement as Santa arrived at Bunscoil. Special thanks to Mitchelstown Credit Union for organising this special visit. Thanks also to Mitchelstown Firestation for providing the transport- what an entrance!!!
Special thanks to Santa for visiting us at this very busy time of year and to our Parents Council for organising this exciting fabulous event. Every pupil received a selection box from Santa Photos by Andrew Dineen.
