We are excited to share the wonderful news that, after years of careful planning, our brand-new astroturf pitch is now fully installed and already making a positive impact on our school community! Our girls and boys are thoroughly enjoying this vibrant new space during lunch breaks and PE lessons. The pitch provides a safe, high-quality environment for physical activity, sports, and play, and is a valuable resource for promoting sports in our parish and surrounding areas.
While the astroturf pitch is now up and running, and has already proven to be a great asset, we still have an outstanding balance on our overall costing of €55,000 to repay. To help us achieve this, we are hosting the Bunscoil na Toirbhirte Golf Classic, and we would be absolutely delighted if you would consider joining us for what promises to be an exciting and enjoyable event.
EVENT DETAILS
Dates: 19th & 20th June, 2025
Venue: Mitchelstown Golf Club
Format: 3-person team event (Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Teams). One player to score at each hole, with two players scoring at the 2nd, 8th, and 15th holes. Tee time details will follow.
Handicap: Max for Men: 25 | Max for Women: 36
Prizes: Prizes for both GUI and Non-GUI players, including:
Longest Drive: Men’s 5th Hole, Women’s 13th Hole
Nearest the Pin: Men’s & Women’s 9th Hole
Prize Ceremony: Friday, 20th June, at approximately 9:00 PM at Mitchelstown Golf Club.

Sponsorship of Tee Boxes: €50 per Tee Box
Sponsors will have their names displayed at a designated Tee Box throughout the event. Additionally, all sponsors of teams or Tee Boxes will be featured on a sponsor list displayed at Mitchelstown Golf Club, and shared across our social media channels and website.
