Holy Sacraments 2026
Huge congratulations to our wonderful 2nd Class girls on making their First Holy Communion on Saturday, 16th May. They all looked fantastic and were wonderful on their special day. Today is a very special milestone in their lives as they welcome Jesus in a special way for the first time.
A sincere word of thanks to Father Lane and Canon Leamy for leading the ceremony today and for all their support of our school community throughout the year.
We also want to thank our wonderful choir from Third and Fourth Class, supported by their teachers Ms Woods and Ms Feeney. Thank you also to our musicians Miss Flynn, Miss Lambe, Miss Price and Miss Watson, who even came out of retirement today to help us.
A very special thank you must also go to the staff who prepared the girls so well for today, Miss Doyle, Miss McSherry, Miss Keneally and Miss Bailey, along with our SNAs, Mr. Dineen and Ms. Sheehan. Their care and hard work in preparing the girls is deeply appreciated.
We also want to thank everyone who helped prepare the church so beautifully. There were so many people who helped in so many different ways. Thank you also to our sacristans for all their assistance throughout the ceremony.
To all the parents, grandparents, godparents, brothers, sisters and friends, thank you for the support and love you give these girls. It was wonderful to see so many families gathered together to celebrate such an important occasion.
Finally, a huge thank you to our wonderful Parents’ Council who very kindly provided refreshments for everyone in the school hall after the Mass, much of which was also generously provided by our First Class families. Well done everyone
