Learning about Diabetes
CUH’s Type Onesie Day
Picture
On Thursday, November 14, the boys, girls and staff at Bunscoil na Toirbhirte proudly participated in CUH’s Type Onesie Day—a meaningful initiative supporting people in Ireland living with Diabetes.
This campaign aims to raise essential funds for the Paediatric Diabetes Service at CUH while increasing awareness of this life-altering condition that affects thousands of children across the country. Together were raise €555! A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who generously donated to this important cause.
The day was filled with fun and learning throughout the school. Special recognition is due to Ms. Linehan’s Junior Infants, Ms. Doyle and Ms. McSherry’s Second Class, and Ms. Keating and Ms. Macken for their fantastic efforts in coordinating the event.
A particular highlight was Tessa’s and Amelia’s visit to classrooms to educate children and staff about Type 1 Diabetes. Well done girls, you are wonderful.
