Opera Comes to Bunscoil
We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at Cork Opera House for bringing the magic of opera directly to our school!
Our girls and boys and staff were treated to an unforgettable experience on the 11th of September last, all thanks to the generosity and hard work of so many talented people.
A special shout-out to our past pupil, Aisling Fitzgerald, Producer at Cork Opera House, for making this dream come true. It is wonderful to see a familiar face leading such an incredible initiative! Huge thanks also to Jennifer Hayes, Assistant Producer, for helping to organise the visit, putting together an engaging information pack, and coordinating everything so smoothly on the day.
We were absolutely blown away by the phenomenal performances from Kelly-Anne Masterson, Niamh O'Sullivan, and Dean Power—their voices left us all spellbound! And to Ciara Moroney, the brilliant musical director on piano, thank you for your beautiful accompaniment that tied it all together perfectly. We particularly appreciate the warmth with which the performers interacted with our girls and boys . All girls and boys from Junior Infants to 6th thoroughly loved every moment. You've inspired a new generation of opera fans! Thank you to Cork Opera House for filling our school with music, joy, and unforgettable memories!
