First and second class kicked off our school tours with a wonderful trip to Bunratty Castle. They had a fantastic time. It was an amazing start to our school tours, history has never been this much fun! Huge thanks to all of our staff who took the girls on this trip.
On Thursday, 12th June 3rd and 4th class visited Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork and what a fantastic day it was!
The girls explored interactive science exhibits, learned about space, and even experienced a planetarium show that took us on a journey through the solar system. We also got to hear some fascinating stories about the history of the castle itself.
It was a fun and educational trip, and everyone came away with new knowledge and plenty of excitement about space and science. A big thank you to the staff at Blackrock Castle and to all who helped make the day such a success!

Thirty-four of our 4th, 5th, and 6th Class girls had a fantastic day out recently at the Splash and Dash Aquathlon event in Douglas. The excitement was high, and the energy even higher, as the girls tackled the challenge with great enthusiasm and team spirit.
A huge thank you to Paula Higginbotham for organising our school’s involvement in this wonderful event. We’re also very grateful to Ms O’Neill and past pupil Matilda for accompanying and supporting the girls throughout the day.
Well done to Cork Sports Partnership and Triathlon Ireland for hosting such a fun and inclusive event!

One of the day’s highlights was meeting Olympian and multiple national champion, Nicola Tuthill, who was very generous with her time and very kindly demonstrated her hammer throwing skills!
WHAT IS AN AQUATHLON (SPLASH & DASH)?
A Splash and Dash is a fun and beginner-friendly aquathlon where each participant completes a 50-metre swim followed by a 400-metre run. The event focuses on enjoyment, participation, and learning the basics of race etiquette, with a strong emphasis on health and safety. It’s a perfect introduction to multi-sport events for young athlete
