Teagasc Farm, Moorepark Trip
Picture
We had an absolutely fantastic two days at the Teagasc Offices in Moorepark, Fermoy. On Wednesday, 12th November, our Third and Fourth Classes enjoyed a wonderful guided farm walk. They learned so many amazing and fascinating facts about farming, cows, pigs, the use of technology in farming, and daily life on a working farm. They returned to school full of excitement, eager to share all the new knowledge they had gathered.
On Thursday, it was the turn of Fifth Class, who took part in the Teagasc Farm Quiz. The girls rose to the challenge, showing great enthusiasm and teamwork. It was a terrific learning experience and a day they will remember.
We are deeply grateful to everyone in Teagasc Moorepark for the warm welcome, the kindness, and the remarkable amount of preparation that went into making these visits so enjoyable and educational. Every staff member we met gave generously of their time and expertise, and our pupils truly benefitted.
A huge thank you also goes to our wonderful teachers for accompanying the girls and supporting them throughout the two days.
And a special word of thanks to parent Martina Doyle, a member of the Teagasc Moorepark team, for organising our involvement and making these fantastic experiences possible.
Our girls had a wonderful time from start to finish, and we are very grateful for such a memorable and enriching opportunity.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir!
