​Ballygiblin abu! - All Ireland finalists 2022

We were delighted to welcome members of the Ballygiblin Hurling team to the school on 1st April. The girls and boys were delighted to view the North Munster Cup, The County Final Cup, and the Munster Final Cup!!! We are looking forward to getting behind the team again in the coming months.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Ballygiblin Hurling team to Bunscoil following their Munster Final victory on Sunday, January 9th. This was a tremendous achievement and a proud day for the community. This team went on to win the All Ireland Junior Club Semi Final v Fullen Gaels Portlaoise on Sunday, January 23rd on a scoreline of 4-20 to 0-12. What an unbelievable achievement! And onwards we marched to Croke Park to contest the 2022 AIB GAA Hurling All Ireland Junior Club Championship Final on Saturday, 5th February. However, it was not to be on the day with Ballygiblin losing out by just one point on a scoreline of Mooncoin 0-22 Ballygiblin 1-18. Ballygiblin put on a magnificent display giving it their all on this historic day. Despite this loss the team and the whole community can look back on the season with pride on what they achieved and can look forward to what it yet to come. It's the stuff of dreams and all at Bunscoil were right behind them!
