National Finals!!!!
Congratulations to the girls who represented our community in swimming in March 2024! It's truly inspiring to hear about their wonderful achievements. From winning bronze and silver medals to clinching gold in backstroke and even securing a spot in the National Finals, every swimmer showcased dedication and talent.
Edel won bronze in freestyle, Louise won bronze in breaststroke and Matilda won gold in backstroke and will represent Cork in National Finals. Matilda, Ava, Edel and Mia won silver in the medley relay. Mia, Belle, Elsa, Ava, Stella and Cara swam their hearts out in their individual races.
Cara, Stella, Elsa and Louise swam a fantastic relay and finished 4th in their heat. The girls were all praised for their excellent behaviour by the committee.
A heartfelt thank you to their team manager, Paula Higginbotham, for organizing the girls involvement and supporting them throughout. Paula was delighted to be assisted by Eliza - assistant team manager. Well done to everyone involved

Our Super Swimming team took part in the National Finals in the National Aquatics Centre in Dublin on Sunday, 26th March, 2023. Through immense hard work they managed to vastly improve on their personal best. What more could we ask of these girls? They gave it absolutely everything!! We are tremendously proud of Ava, Matilda, Edel and Saoirse and the effort they put in leading up to the finals and in the finals. Matilda also took part in the 50m backstroke and 50m front crawl competition and again registered two more personal bests. 0.2 and 0.4 of a second between her and a place in the final of the National Finals. It was a great honour to see our school take part in the National Finals. Who would have predicted it just a few short months ago? Well done to their parents and everyone who supported and helped them to prepare, especially the team manager, Paula Higginbotham. Although medals evaded us on this occasion we will look back proudly on their achievements for years to come.
In our first-ever Munster Swimming Gala, our Under 11/12’s freestyle relay team came 2nd place. They have qualified for Nationals in the National Aquatic Centre in March. We think everything went SWIMMINGLY. Well done team. We can't wait!
Matilda came 2nd in the individual backstroke competition and qualified for the national finals on the same date.
