Bunscoil Choir - Limerick Choral Festival
1st prize in Primary schools
Best choir of the entire Festival

Just when we thought things couldn’t get any better for our school choir, in March 2020 they received some more amazing news! Incredibly they were announced as the overall Winners of the competition that was run over the weekend. The choir received the Joe O’ Connor Cup, winning the Choir of the Year in Limericks Choral Festival. As you can imagine there was tremendous excitement when Mr Wallace announced this news at a special school assembly this morning. 58 choirs from Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, youth choirs, adult choirs and gospel choirs took part in the competition. It was with a great sense of joy, achievement and pride that our entire school watched the performance of our choir one more time on a screen. The achievement of the girls is a credit to their potential, determination and discipline. Such was the excitement of our wonderful achievement that the whole school received no homework for two night, along with an extended yard break on the day. Well done again to all involved on this tremendous achievement.
