Grandparents' Day 2019
There was a great buzz around the school last Wednesday as we celebrated Grandparents' Day, a day which is held every two years in Bunscoil. The boys and girls joined their families in the Parish Church for mass which was celebrated by Fr Gabriel Burke, his last official engagement before he left for his new parish of Whitechurch.
Following the mass everyone returned to the school where the grandparents were given the opportunity to visit the classrooms and to see the children at work. Thanks to all who travelled from near and far to be with us on such a special day. This really is the most memorable day that we hold in the school and the boys and girls loved to see their visitors in the school.
A special mention of thanks must go to the members of the Bunscoil Parents' Council who spent the day serving refreshments to all and helping around the school with directions for the guests.
