Great Oaks From Little Acorns Grow
They say a picture paints a thousand words! Our 6th Class girls and Senior Infant boys graduated from Bunscoil na Toirbhirte on the 20th and 24th of August, 2020. They have grown in all ways during their time in our school. The last few months have been difficult for them and very different from what we all expected or could ever have predicted.
To help us celebrate the girls and boys graduation a beautiful mural was painted in the school. It symbolizes their growth, transformation and the friendships they have made that will last many years. Leaves with the pupils names will be placed on the tree for their graduations and, like the girls and boys brought our school to life, these leaves will bring the oak tree to life. We can’t wait to celebrate with the boys and girls.
Huge thanks to the very talented Mr. Dineen for painting this amazing mural. He put many hours into creating this special piece of art, arriving at the school in the early morning and not leaving the school until it was dark. Thank you Mr Dineen for making our girls and boys graduation even more special. Thanks also to Mella Finn for thinking of the idea and for purchasing the leaves for the students. She put a a lot of work into distributing and collecting the leaves. Without her help this project wouldnt have been possible.
