Irish Writer Olivia Hope wows Bunscoil boys & girls
Picture
We were absolutely thrilled and privileged to have Irish Writer, Olivia Hope with us in Bunscoil on Thursday and Friday 28/29 of May, 2022.
Olivia, a former record breaking athlete, who visited our school to read her new book, ‘Be Wild, Little One’ to our Junior Infant-2nd class pupils and our Autism Class. They girls and boys were awestruck!!
Yesterday, Olivia’s book featured in The Guardian Newspaper, under a section that featured the best new picture books and novels! ‘Be Wild, Little One’ was described by The Guardian as a “beautiful picture book filled with tender, thrilling exhortations to embrace wildness: diving into the deepest blue, swinging along with chimpanzees or wishing on every star”.
How lucky were we to have Olivia visit our school working with the girls and boys? We look forward to telling you more about her amazing visit in the coming days. Special thanks to Mr Wallace for organizing Olivia’s visit to our school and to Olivia for being so generous with her time. It was a wonderful experience for our girls and boys
