Picker Pals
work best together
Picture
Well done to Kamila and Zlata on kicking off the adventure by collecting two BIG bags of rubbish. Well done also to Ms Hyland and our Green School Committee for organising such a mutually rewarding idea for our pupils and community.
The pupils of Bunscoil are reading Litter Picker storybooks and engaging with the world of the Picker Pals characters. They sing the Picker Pals song and carry out environmental learning activities. The girls and boys take turns to take home the Picker Pack and lead their family on a litter-picking adventure around Mitchelstown. This is a fun bonding experience, making a real difference on the ground! On returning to school, the children spread their news of the good deed, telling their classmates and school community all about their actions. They give/get lots of positive feedback. We are very proud of this initiative.
Then it was Cassies turn to bring home the picker from school… I think the residents of the Clonmel Road will be very happy with this little litter-picker

Well done to Ada and her little sisters Maisie and Eve on collecting so much rubbish.
