Presentation Day in Bunscoil na Toirbhirte
Each year on November 21st we celebrate Presentation Day, and remember Nano Nagle, the founder of the Presentation Order who was declared Venerable by Pope Francis in 2013.
In tradition with this, our pupils attended a very special mass in the Parish Church along with the girls from the Presentation Secondary school. Canon O'Leary celebrated the mass, assisted by Fr Patrick. The music and singing was provided by the girls from 3rd to 6th class, supported by Ms Hayes, Ms Watson, Ms Lambe and Mrs Horgan. It was a very special occasion for everybody there.
When we returned to school, every pupil received a treat, and then the girls from 3rd to 6th went to the Halla for the traditional Presentation Day Table Quiz organised by Ms Linehan. The girls in 1st and 2nd classes will have their quiz on Friday the 28th.
