TESCO Achievement Awards 2018
The 2018 Mitchelstown Youth Awards run by Tesco and the Gardaí were held in the Firgrove Hotel on Thursday December 6th. These awards are to recognise the achievements of young people between the ages of 10-18. We were delighted to nominate two of the girls from Ms. Deere’s 6th class for consideration for their kind and thoughtful gestures.
Sarah Hyland-Lyons who cut 10 inches from her hair which she then donated to the Little Princess Foundation to help children and young adults affected by cancer.
Ella Price who helped organize a coffee morning in aid of Crumlin Hospital. This year she is also selling Christmas cards from Crumlin to help raise money for sick children all over Ireland.
It is so wonderful to see our girls spreading such kindness and taking action to help others in our community and beyond. Well done girls!
