Visit from Sr. Regina - January 2013
This January, Sr. Regina, a Presentation nun who is originally from Mitchelstown came to visit us and spoke to all children from 1st to 6th class about her life. She lives in Peru and helps the poor people there. In particular she is involved in a project to get running water, toilets and bathrooms to many families.
She spoke to everyone about life in Peru. Last year the proceeds of the Easter Egg draw were donated to Sr. Regina's cause. Ms Kearney visited her during the summer and we looked at the photos she took and saw some of the people that our fund raising helped. It was a very interesting talk and lots of the pupils had questions for Sr. Regina.
